Minutes of the October Meeting

Taken as read – no objections and no matters arising

Send a reminder= to Robin Fielder to mail drop residents of H Block for FQRA representative a= nd also ask if he would like to be on the committee

Role of the Committee

FQRA to continue to monitor = and report on planning, noise, parking, security, budgets, repairs, gardens, = lime seepage etc

 

 Act as Residents voice to Directo= rs

Membership driv= e to be sent with subscription reminder

 

An information pack is being prepared by County Management and Bruton Kiff and will contain list of representatives.

 

Agreed that Hugh would hand = out welcome pack and also pass on details of new arrivals to the relevant com= mittee representative.  Allow a few= days for the settling in then block representative to visit and welcome.<= /o:p>

Social Gathering=

Agreed that the last event was a success and JN  has agreed to arrange event early in the new year

Planning Meeting  Wat= ermans Arts Centre – Date TBA

The meeting will be hosted by Hither Green / Monument to put forward their plans for the Marina, Point Wharf etc.

 

An invitation will be sent to all residents.

 

= High Attendance vital as this will be the only opportunity residents have to p= ut their views

Bins=

These are still being taken = out early and the bin huts are being left without enough bin capacity for up = to two days.  This needs to be monitored and reviewed

Moving

The number of b= uy to let flats has increased and the turnover of the tenants is high. Damage during removals is extensive and repairs are currently met by the service charge.  This needs to be addressed. Hither Green are in discussion with County Estate Management to tighten up clauses relating to sub-leasing.  The aim is establish when tenant= s are moving in and out so that damage costs can be referred to the flat owners.  <= /p>

 

 Friday tends to be moving day.  The common parts are cleaned on a Thursday so and debris from a move is left about for a week, consideratio= n to change of cleaning day to be given.  Hugh and Carlos to check bin areas and common areas during and aft= er move
